The process has begun...

  Of turning the phantom into a real shooter. After a couple hundred test shot i think this phantom will be quite a good do it all rifle. The initial shots through the chrony are showing consistent 950-960fps with 7.9gr. pellets. Accuracy is ok with gamo master points and match ammo. Not to good with any of the daisy, crosman or beeman rounds. I think the larger pellet diameter has something to do with this although the consistency of the gamo sizing seems off. JSB has similar sized pellets and hopefully more consistent ones. I'll be ordering some.

  The trigger is as bad as my old G1, and i'm excited to say i just ordered a grt and hope it will make a difference. I don't see how it couldn't.

  I put a centerpoint 4x16 on her last night as i killed the 4x centerpoint. The crosshairs separated. Still holding zero though surprisingly.
 I'll eventually order another scope, i'm almost talked into a hawke. We'll see.

  I look forward to eventually learning how to tear this gun down and figuring out my first tune. The info i'm seeing on here concerning this has my confidence up, i'll figure it out.
