Questions for Sumatra owners.

Do the pellets fit losely in your mags ?

I only have Baracuda, H&N Hollopoints and Crow Magnum, and they all are very very lose in the mags.

Did your Sumatra take a bit before getting accuracy ?

I've only shot lower powers, but not getting any real consistency with any of those pellets.
from what I heard this guns are excepionally accurate, mine not at all so far.

Yes pellets fit loosely by design.  My Sumatra was accurate out of the box -- best results with Baracuda Match, followed by Eun Jin 28 gr pellets.  Getting 3/8" c-t-c groups at 25 yds with power wheel cranked all the way up.  What kind of groups are you getting?

Shot some groups today, was quite gusty but they don't look to good, everygroup is a full mag from 3000 psi, ....just short of 30 yards

Hey Manny,well mine's been crazy accurate and so far I'm tickled with it.She likes the H&N Barracuda's and the Eunjin 35.8 Hunting pellets as well.I've been really impressed with it and for that I'm happy, as this is my first PCP.
I did run the weedeater line through mine with goo gone as they say they have some type of oil in there to keep it so no corrosion gets in there while it's stored before the sale.My barrel was oily inside the first patch,but only need 3 more dry ones and was wicked shiny after cleaning it.Since the first shot she hasn't changed so far.

I haven't been charging her the last few times up to 3000 psi,but when I do use over 2500 she's still the same (At least a up to 32yards).I Hope you get her sorted out real soon as I'm still having a hard job not shooting this thing every other hour,he he! Hang in there,,she may just need a little goo gone and a break in and you'll be taking game like crazy,lol. Happy Shooting. T

My Sumatra is the Carbine version in .20 which I imported from the USA.  It's one very accurate air rifle and for general hunting use it like Accupells. It shoots the heavyweight Eun Jins very well too, even on full power.  Using Accupells I turn the power wheel down from Max 'red' to the next 'red' down - one complete turn.  From a fill of 3000 psi this gives me 30 very consistent shots without adjusting the power wheel.  The pic attached shows typical results, 3 shots at 35 yards. The orange circular patch is 3/4 inch in diameter.  It's good to compare notes with other Sumatra owners.

From your photos, I see you have what appears to be a moderator.  Is this a commercial product?  Is there a significant reduction in sound?  Any effect on accuracy or velocity?  I know because of ATF restrictions, we can't have these in the US, but just curious as to how effective these are in quieting a very loud airgun.

Mine is the Carabine version, Pyramyd is out of EunJin for now, I guess mine just don't like H&N pellets   I'll try some Benjamin today, I gave the barrel a second cleaning too
