I have a Garmin Venture that i use right now with map and compass,but would like to up grade to one that has a SD card,thinking about the Garmin 60csx,what do you use and why ,please don,t count cell phone and car types, only dedicated GPS. Thanks
And how do use yours,Hunting,hiking blood trailing-me etc.

One of the nice things about the Garmin is gpsfilesdepot has free maps, both topo and routeable streets for them. The topo is much more detailed than Garmins.

Garmin iQue 3600.
I still have a Palm Pilot (not the smartphone), so this is really handy to transfer addresses and waypoints back and forth between them.
I bought four of them, just for backup.
One is ailing, so I put it in reserve, while the other two are on standby.
The fourth is still in the box and not used once.
Glad I did it, too, since they discontinued them several years ago.
I had a feeling that would happen.

I use mine strictly for driving, since I have no sense of direction, and I wish I were kidding when I type that.
I could get all the way to a specific address in Nom, Alaska if I had to.

I'm using the Lowrance iFinder H20C. I use it in my boat and on land. Easy to use

Favorite GPS   That would be one that functioned as advertised.    I have a Garmin Nuvi 765 that I don't trust to even use around town.
It's function can only be described as schizophrenic.    Recently, while in south  Georgia, it showed us to be in  Kansas.   This does not inspire confidence.   Currently used as a paper weight.  I would never rely on this unit ever.   Have better results with the I-phones we have.
And take maps.  And a compass.  And look for moss on trees. etc.

its a sweet unit   3d color and aerial imagery along with full NOAA nautical maps/charts and full usg Quads across entire northamerica(this includes canada)
can also be used as a road GPS

I have a Lowrance I-Finder H2Oc that is great and a Garmin Nuvi for the truck, but my favorite is my Garmin Oregon 450. It is touch screen and very user friendly. I mostly use it for geocaching, but also for hunting and fishing.
