Withdrawals... what to do?

I am lucky I just grab a cup of coffee and sit on my back porch and shoot between shakes (too much coffee).

haha i have a chair in the back yard settin in front of my bench where i drink coffee to settle the night shakes down and i shoot while im gettin coffee life giving juice in my system. i feel like shootin while drinkin coffee makes me wake up better too . we must have read the same book jesse

I never drank coffee until I joined the Army, then it became an every day thing. Notice I said "DAY" as in all day. LOL

 We have not been able to shoot ever since my backyard range got shut down due to a neighbors complaint.

Amen. My neighbours shut mine down too. So I built a muzzle break for the 760 and took two doves today. Then my dad got ticked so all airgun shooting is shut down for now. Oh well, shoulda followed the rules. As for the withdrawels, I've been obsessively checking GTA.

did he shut down the allowance and provide extra chores for you as well? That is what happens to my kids. Did I also mention corpal punishment?

Haha. I don't have an allowance. And no extra chores, just cussed me out. He knows that'll keep me on eggshells for a couple days. He is a big scary dude.

I feel to OP's pain. The past couple of weeks has been a whirlwind. I had a recent death in the family (Godmother) which necessitated multiple trips out of state to arrange a funeral/viewing, plus taking care of unfinished affairs with her apartment/finances/etc. Couple that with juggling my job, family obligations, and the rest life throws at you and that leaves exactly 0%time for anything airgun related.

It is nice to check in on GTA to see recent builds, mods, and discussions on all things airgun

I'm very sorry for your loss. Your post reminded me to not be such a whiny little b!7@#... haha. Here I am, complaining that I haven't been able to shoot, and it's because I'm moving to a new house with space in which I can actually shoot. I need to drink a tall, cold glass of STFU!

I spent all day at the new place: removing old fixtures and fans, stripping door hardware, removing switch and plug plates, pulling baseboard, and mowing the horrible lawn. I stink like a ripe kill. It's time for a cold beer in the shower.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss, longdx.  And Drew brings up a good point.  I have so much more to be thankful for than I do to complain about.  This morning, I got out of a comfortable bed, said good morning to my family, and had breakfast.  I'm sitting here enjoying this forum with fellow airgunners.  The list of blessings would more than fill the pages of this forum, so I'll just say "Thank you God!"  Yeah, I have inconveniences, aches, and pains, but that's life.  Overall, I have nothing to complain about.  Thanks, Drew, for putting things back into perspective.  I hope all my friends here have a great day!

I couldn't deal with having a new gun at the house just staring at me but understand your situation though...it's an easy fix if you've got it that bad...MAKE TIME...that's what I do...whatever it takes.
