your opinions on scope upgrade ?

Hey all,

I'm  looking to replace/upgrade the scope on my Marauder.
 I currently have a Wallyworld CP 4-16X40 AO/IR Adventure Series. It's been a great scope with no real complaints.
 99% of my shooting is off a bench, on a Bipod/rear sandbag, 50yd paper punching... so weight of the scope is not really an issue for me.
 I have ordered another Marauder for my Daughters upcoming Birthday, so I need to get another scope anyway. I think I'd like to try a side focus scope with more magnification on mine. My Daughters rifle will be getting my current CP scope.

 I am trying to stay as budget minded as possible,...as this "Dark Side Vortex" of "Wallet Shrinking Phenomenon" seems to be building strength and momentum. (Where does the insanity stop ?,.... or nevermind,... IT DOESN'T ).

I think I am going to go with one of the ZOS Scopes, for obvious $$$ reasons. They seem to fare pretty well for what they are and their costs. I'll probably just get it off of EBAY, and would like to make the purchase very soon. (maybe even today).

 The ZOS choices I am narrowed down to are:

6-24X50 mil-dot retical (@ $115 plus shipping)
10-40X50 mil-dot retical (@ $120 plus shipping)

and MAYBE the 10-40X60, but not too sure I like the "Y" retical on those. (never have tried a "Y" retical), and they seem a bit too "busy" for me.

With my current 40mm objective, it seems about "right" as far as the aesthetics on the rifle are concerned, but I realize that going to higher magnification also suggests going to a larger objective.
 I'm sure the 50mm will sit just fine on a Marauder, and I'm fairly confident my existing rings are tall enough to handle the 50mm.

 But what about the 60mm ?

 Does that end up looking like the Hubble Telescope, sitting on and swallowing a Peashooter ?

 Is a 60mm objective really Necessary on a rifle that basically max's out it's range at 100-120yds ?

 And also,... how do you guys feel about that "Y" retical ? (im not too sure I even like the "Y"), but maybe someone here will change my mind on that, with a good reason to consider it.

 Daughters Birthday and new Mrod rifle are fast approaching, and I gotta do something while I still have time.
 And besides,.... This way,... I get to blame it all on YOU GUYS, when my wife hauls out the frying pan with all the "Dents in it, from Ron's head".
 DANG IT !, she sure has been using that thing a lot lately. I'm just hoping for the dang handle to break off of it SOON !

 Help me out here guys, tell me what you guys think about the 3 choices I've listed, and remember,...

  ...as far as the wife is concerned,....THIS WILL ALL BE BLAMED ON YOU GUYS !       
(She holds top Security Clearances in Military GPS Satellites and Drones, with Death Ray capabilities).
 You can't hide from her, and she WILL find you.
 She can do it from both her laptop, and her Smart Phone.
