I Can't Decide....

I am currently torn between so many good rifles... looking for a 22 cal gun, over 750 FPS, preferably in the 800+ range, used primarily for hunting, (small game hunting is legal here in GA with AG's d uring normal season). i'm looking at about 300 dollar range, for gun and scope mounts, (i have a 4-16 cp). looking at the following.
Benji, TRail NP XL-1100
Benji Trail NP
BAM B26-2
TF89
RWS 350, (a bit over my limit)
Benji Disco/w pump (a bit over my limit)
Super Streak
Any help with this? i actually have the money and am browsing over PA, and other places, about to mash the buttons. just want everyone's suggestions.
Thanks

I'm a Diana fan so I say go with the 350!
Seriously I would suggest trolling around the classifieds. I have seen some screaming good deals on rifles that would require twice the asking amount to build. A good example is
here.
The Yellow forum has more ads and is probably a good place to start looking at used guns. I think you can move up to a better rifle for less money if you don't mind some cosmetic problems or are willing to take the perceived risk of buying used.

I know the RWS 34 is not quite there for the power your seeking, but it still has plenty of power in 22 cal. for hunting.
Airguns of Arizona has a great deal on the 34 Panther Pro right now. It comes with a 3-9x44 airgun rated scope, a muzzle brake and the RWS lock down mount.
Great deal for $199.00.
Larry
By the way, I think the scope has AO as well.

I'd second the 350. The build quality is VERY good, it's incredibly accurate, punches paper nice all the way out to 100 yards with a velocity of about 800fps moving a 18gr. jsb jumbo pellet. Somewhere around 24-25ftlbs. The only downside to mine is the weight and length. 10+lbs with a 4x16cp and drooper mount. 4 feet long. She's a big girl.
If i'm not mistaken, there is a shorter version with synthetic furniture. That one, in my opinion, would be the one to have. J.

I'm a 350 fan too! Sometimes you can find them used for not too much. Most folks don't have the patience to master them.
However, I'm also a big fan of TechForce guns. For $300 you can buy one AND get a Super Tune, AND maybe have money for a tin of pellets.

Well Edward, you KNOW what I'm gonna say.
I'm a Benji guy and would totally recommend the XL1100. One heckova AG in my book. If we lived closer, I'd let you try it out and see. I also have a TF89. GREAT gun except the big flaw with it, the trigger. Gene has worked mine over and I'm still not real happy with the trigger. Too much travel/creep and not a positive break. Wish a Tuna trigger would fit it, that would be the icing on the cake for that piece. The Benji SS can be found still but Crosman says they will not replace any under warranty, none available. You would get an XL1100 in exchange if you had warranty issues with the SS.
RWS350 is an awesome gun. DO look for one of these in the used catagory. Also think about or look at a Cometa Fusion. Excellent gun and I wish I had one. My TF89 is in the 18fpe range and my XL1100 is pumping out 27fpe. Quite a bit of difference and definately power for small game and long range shooting!!!!
Happy Shooting....and shopping!!!!

My Super Streak was a power house Big Block an shot excellent till I had a problem with the lock up on it(it happen's sometime's) but they are by anybody's thought a BIG gun in weight an length, but it would shoot clean thru a 1/2"(soft pine) board with ease. I'm getting the Trail NP XL in exchange(some time around first of the week) an I'll let you know about it if you want(several on here already have one). But all the gun's you listed are good choice's.

save a little more and go to the 350 magnum .22..... you will see the Quality and Performance. The rifle is long and a little heavy.... but an excellent rifle.

There's also the Diana 48 or 52. 48's come up often under $300. Sometimes you can score a 52. Same gun but upgraded stock. Downside is they are a bit heavy but they do hit hard.
The 350's can be had for nearly half price in almost new condition. I think this is because they have a reputation as a gun you have to learn to shoot well and many buyers put less than a tin through them, then get frustrated and out she goes. Airguns of Arizona has the basic 350 for $279. No scope but that's for an iron sighted new gun.
The Trails gun with the nitro piston is a good choice for hunting since you can leave it cocked for long periods of time without harm.

If I had the money right now I'd buy the Trail XL, but just because I have some of the others.

If I didn't have a pcp, I would get the discovery w/pump.
The discovery pcp is like climbing a mountain or bungee jumping.
Everybody needs to do it at least once in their life.
I have 2 Discoverys, a .177 and a .22 and I enjoy them both.
Thanks

The Diana 34 is a great hunting rifle,....not as powerful as you'r looking for, but good enough to bust a squirrel at +30 yards. You should look into a B-28A, a cloned Diana 350. Not as nice a stock, but for hunting in the field, you won't feel as bad scratching it as you would a Diana!!!! Toss the piston liner and drop a Macarri spring in it and you'll have a powerful rifle without the rough recoil these weapons are ledgendary for. Not really a heavy rifle,....but a long rifle, and consistant hold is a must. I'd recommend the artillary/howitzer hold for this weapon. Another rifle you can look into would be a used Beeman R1/HW-80. If you can find a 'beater' for under $300, then a few replacement parts and you're good to go!!!!! HTH's Thomas

Well the only real solution is to write the names of your top ten choices down a piece of paper one name per paper put then in a hat and then pick them out one at a time.
And that my friend is the order you buy them in. we all know sooner or later you will own them all. Just ask all the guys that responded to this how many air guns they own.
Airguns are like potato chips just can have one! LOL

well, i figured i would give the Titan GP one more chance... i picked up another one tonight, at the local wally world, and another 1k rounds of CPHP's. *(&^ even if they don't shoot good out of my rifle, there still cheap as can be. they are on sale for 4.95 a tin. also picked up a CP 4-16 scope for it. Hope it works out for me. if not, i am sending it back and picking up a super streak in .22. i think i like the looks of it.
