Thanks for clarifying a few things for us Jim!  The video was very interesting and entertaining. I would like to see the 60min. version one of these days if it gets "published" or widely released. 

Keep up the good work promoting airguns and hunting with airguns!  We really need all the support we can get with anti-gun laws getting tougher, some including airguns.  Your articles and videos only help airgunning and make it more popular.  I live in NY, home state of Crosman, and were told by various sources including the DEC (the state agency that regulates hunting) that some of the higher-up DEC officials are airgunners themselves.  This no doubts explains why finally this year they made new hunting laws that allow hunting (officially now) with airguns in NY.  It includes all small-game critters that can be taken with a .22 rimfire, so Bobcats, Coyotes, foxes, etc. are all fari game now for airgunners, if they meet the minimum velocity requirements.  I have no doubt that it's people like you that have promoted airguns and hunting so much, that eventually law makers and other officials become airgunners themselves, or get the right information to make reasonable laws allowing hunting with airguns.  Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the positive words, it's grass root efforts by guys like Ken Cox (MO), Robert Hamilton (CA), and Randy Mitchell (KY) that have succeeded in getting the laws written on a local basis. I know that Crosman worked hard in NY as well. It seems that a lot of the wildlife management agencies have been pretty receptive to airguns as valid methods of take. I'm getting ready to go hunt in Missouri, leaving oin Friday morning for the opener on deer season, taking the Quackenbush .451 carbine and my long island bob tuned 909. Can't wait!

Good luck hunting in MO with your DAQ and 909 Jim!  I 'm jealous

I may have contributed a little to pushing Crosman   I had sent them about 1/2 dozen e-mails to see what they are doing or if they are lobbying in Albany about airgun hunting.  I also called a couple of times but could not speak to anyone higher-up..  In my last e-mail I told them it was a shame that the DEC had to issue me a Warning about hunting small-game with an airgun in NY state, the home base of Crosman of all places!   2 months later a new airgun law was proposed.  I am sure Crosman had been working on it long before the DEC cop issued me the written warning though   A DEC HQ Lt. that teaches at the DEC Police Academy also suggested that I could give a class to new recruits about the different types of airguns because they admit how little they know about them and all the technology advances that have taken place.  I just don't have the time right now because I have no life with my company working us 24x7 or 60hrs/wk, but it is something I am still considering doing.
