forgot to read the sign, " Abandon All Hope All Squirrels That Enter Here". And he paid the price.
My wife and I had some morning errands to do, so we did not go the church Sunday. As soon as we stepped out the door we both heard the familar sound of squirrel chatter. Complaining about something. I said to my wife," do you hear that...a squirrel". She was getting into her car and I said, " lets go back into the house, I am going to try and get him". To which she replied, " its Sunday, don't shoot the squirrel and have you not shot enough". To which I replied, " No , and squirrels don't go to church". Sneaking out the backdoor and using the privacy fence to hide behind, I located the pest. He was on a branch about 30 feet up a large pine and giving a perfect profile. Cross hairs on his head and squeezed the trigger. Thump... one dead squirrel. As soon as the critter hit the ground, World Famous Hunt Cat had him in her jaws and began dragging him to the back yard. My wife asked," Do you ever miss"? To which I replied, " never around witnesses".

Thanks dk1677. I'ver learned a lot about shooting/hunting sqirrels in the past 2 years. Mainly from reading the forums and then using the info in real-time to see what was good advice or bunk. I used to think that head shots where mythical but now if the pest just shows his noggin he is as good as dead. I take my time and don't rush. It scares the squirrels. The AG that I am mainly using is a B-26 in .177. Which I like mainly due to the trigger. But the Crosman G-1 knocks down its share of squirrels. With the GRT trigger of course.
Good Hunting.

You want convince my wife that air guns save money.
New springs, seals, then when I break it the cost for Shadow, Mike Melick, etc to repair it AFTER I try to repair it.

something like that happened to me when i shot a dove with a big cat! i was still a novice and i was using wadcutters. the dove tried to fly, but i broke a wing when i shot it. a yellow cat jumped up and got it in mid air. i never saw that dove again.
