Question is I have the old Beeman maintance kit with the spg oil & Chamber oil .- and penadry moly treament stuff. This was the old way to maintain your Beeamn rifles and it seems the RWS still uses it.
Being this R1 is
from that era 1985
, i'll have to stick to that method or have it tuned and upgraded with the new moly and spg tar etc methods .
does all that make sense ~~BS50

I'd stick to whats been to be proven facts that oils will cause ill effects to your rifle and so will over lubing with solids, oils will migrate more easily than a solid lube and cause detonation which you don't want. If you have the experience with the solid lubes that is your best bet IMO, if you need help on applying solid lubes like moly or tar just ask and I'm sure you'll get all the answers your looking for!
