NPSS Scope mount issue
«

So I've had the rifle for over a month. Had a ton of fun with it. The one piece scope mount keeps slipping. I know I know......blue locktite all the screws. Haven't done it yet. My issue is the 3 screws in the picatinny style mount. Even when I crank them as hand tight with an allen wrench as I can.. by the time we get to 50 rounds she's slide back 1/4 inch and so on...... anyone?

Do you have a mechanical stop screw in the mount? It should lock into a hole in the receiver.

Red loctite the railes on action and the mount. Let her sit for 24 hours before shooting again. I have done this on my set up and it works great.

You might want to replace the one piece mount that came with the gun and get yourself some quality rings like the ones I have on my NPSS.
They have 4 screws holding them snug to the dovetail and have a solid stop pin as well.

My NPSS has a set screw under the rear cap that fits into a hole in the end of the compression tube, when mounted properly I don't see how the mount could move. Loctite is a good idea too.

Thanks for the tips. I can't get that set screw to seat properly into the receiver. Just the tip goes in... about a thread.... I'll take it apart tomorrow and try to seat the screw without the mount... just to see if it's a bad screw or the thread is screwed...lol
