I get very busy with the forum and my more than full time job and don't always have time to reply to your introduction post. I DO look at all new member registrations and have the system send you a note of welcome to GTA Forums. But that isn't really a personal welcome. Sorry if I missed personally welcoming some of you.

And you have become a part of that family. Please keep your account active by posting. We LIKE pictures too, it helps feed our airgun addictions. After all, we're not a support group, we're enablers. HaaHaa
There are a lot of GATES on the forum but don't let it confuse you. The madness will make sense after a while. You will probably find 1 or more that you frequent the most. But be sure to just look around in all of them to get a feel of WHY they are there. And be sure to use the Search and Advanced Search features. If you are looking for something in particular and the search does not help, PLEASE feel free to ask in a post. There are a lot of very knowledgable and friendly folks that will help you get an answer to your question(s). And do it without biting your head off...LOL.
We are proud to have a WIDE variety of airgun enthusiasts and professionals in our GTA family. We have professional airgun tuners, competition shooters, designers and engineers, TV hosts, several vendors and of course a vast gathering of shooters, tinkerers and enthusiasts with just a few days to MANY years of hands-on knowledge. We are extremely proud of every member and their contributions to keep this forum the fantastic place it is.
Anyway, on behalf of Gene, Bob, Harry, myself, all the other staff and members, I want to extend a personal welcome to each and every one of you. And for all of you old timers, THANK YOU for making and keeping GTA "THE" place to be on the World Wide Web.

PLEASE take a look in the Library for tons of VERY useful info our members have assembled.
Be sure to make a visit or post in the Vendor Gate of some of our fine folks.
We add vendor gates and their name to the Mall when they prove to give exceptional and ethical customer service. Be sure to support those that support GTA. A lot of our vendors and members have donated items to raffle to raise funds for GTA. We are a non sponsored site and generate our needed operating funds from donations by our fantastic members and vendor members!!!!

Very true....a big welcome to all the new members.  I try to welcome each and every one.....but I`m sure I missed quite a few because there`s always new members joining everyday (And that`s a wonderful thing).

I admit I'm not so good at keeping up with the welcomes for new member. Need to work on that...

But to any and all new members WELCOME TO THE GTA, please fasten your seat belts and hang on. There are many fun but slippery slopes ahead for your wallets.  For an example, I know some of you are saying " I won't ever spend $400 on a airgun", I said that at one point to.

Hello all you airgun geeks!

My name is jeff and i am an airgun geek. oops! Wrong forum!  Wait, my names jeff and I'm an airgun geek, but it isnt a big problem. i can quit airguns any time i want, seriously. Okay, quiting airguns might be a lil problem.

I found your forum while searching for a spring guide for an old springer that I'm tuning for a neighbor. it is a B3 that, apparently is the usual badly made by a chinese six year old in some sweatshop in shanghai pellet rifle. the spring guide is sheared off at the base of the part, as well as cracking on the back side of the bore, too. i am looking for someone who is fabbing or capable of fabbing the part. there are a million B3s out in the world and this one cant be the only one with this problem.

anyway, as for me and my airgun "problem", ive been doing airguns, I mean serious airgunner, for about five years. i had occasion to luck into three career air rifles, and instantly was hooked. i did have an old generic CO2 rifle as a kid, and never really got serious about airguns, then, as i moved right on ti firearms from there. but when i found the career air rifles, like i said, instant geek, from that tIme on.

 i started working on airguns after the air force talon i purchased had some issues. while it is a fine shooting machine, it just didnt have the poop that it shouldve had and i started looking online for solutions to the problem. I am still working on the talon slow but sure. Ive only had it a month and given it a decent tune up. i dont have a chrony but can feel the difference in the way it fires.

I'm also getting ready to do a home build pcp gun.  seeing the simplicity of the talon allowed me to understand the process in its entirety and ive always been a tinkerer, so....

with all of these pcp guns i have i use a heavier pellet and the eun jins are the only ones i find that I'd buy again. thats the problem though, they seem so darn hard to find. Ninety percent of the ammunition i use is .25 cal and you cant just run down the the five and dime d anand pick up a tin. as a consequence, I'm pondering seriously, getting a swaging setup and making my own pellets for the big bore guns. I'm interested in what other big bore gunners think about optimum pellet shape. i know theres a market niche for better big bore air gun projectiles, small as it may be, with all that mullah into the swaging set up, why not help a brother out and share the wealth. but thats all down the road and I'm still lookin for a spring guide for a B3.

The way the folks aiddict you is not enablers like Dez said.  The send out agents and such with liquid ags and pellets and put it in your veins and boom your hook forever unless you shoot yourself in the LOL They all are addicted.

Jon, above and on every page, there is a drop-down box marked "Jump to". Click on the arrow and there is a list of gates. Click on "Welcome New Members" and you will go to that gate. Then click on the tab "New Topic" and type away. Be sure to click on the Spell Checker and Preview tabs to see your post before you actually click the "Post" tab.

Today, I traded my .22 cal Webley Patriot springer for a .22 cal RWS 460 springer.  I wanted to switch from a break-barrel to an underlever rifle.

I live in the Southern Caifornia Mojave High Desert at an altitude of 3000 feet, in the town of Apple Valley.

I hope to learn more about airguns and to have pleasant and informative discussions with you all!
