We have plenty of people on this forum from this area. How about a meet and great with some shooting involved?

I'm thinking middle to end of August as a time frame. I would hate to run into hunting season.

As for venue I'm thinking the Jackson area would allow more people to participate as it is in between Nashville and Memphis.

Sounds like a great idea if more people would get involved. I would love to take all my toys out and meet some folks and learn some new skills and techniques. As far as a location, well, I don't know about where. I could do it here at my place but then again I only have a max of 47 yard shooting lane. Are you thinking of hosting or just finding a place to host?

Living in the Memphis area, I would love to come to Jackson for a shoot. unfortunately, I am tied up until the end of September at the earliest. I have NO open weekends before then.

I firmly agree that there needs to be local-ish meetings and shoots to share experience, equipment and skill of course. Most of what I see is competitive shoots and that just isn't my bag. If we can get enough people on board it is more than feasible to for some of us to host meet and greet events. Hopefully this will catch on and we can get groups of all ages together for a fun time with food and air-gunning!

Would be MOST EXCELLENT to meet & greet my fellow airgun nutz and ridge runners. LOL
My schedule, like most of yours, is hectic at best. I'll be looking around for a suitable place to get together. My brother has a 23 acre farm out in the boonies of Skullbone, TN and MAY be able to get something set up there for a 1 day shooting event. Just really hard for me right now to commit to that though.
Keep me posted if any of you start planning something.

Wow, this took off quick.

I'm thinking August might be a bad time. To soon and to hot. Maybe the end of September or early October. Now that I know folks are interested I'll start looking for a place.

I hear you on dear season. I could do the 25th. I would also stock up on some balloons and bring some paper targets along with the B/C spinner.

I've the Mrod and Prod to shoot. The Dragon Slayer may be a bit much for the backyard. I could also bring the crony if anyone wanted or needed to use one.

How about the range at Natchez State park? I've never been there but it looks to be a decent size range and some what centrally located.

I really want to do a shoot at my place here in Clarksville about 45 minutes north of nashville. The only thing is funding it. I think if we all can cover a part of it such as food, drinks, targets, etc, that I could support about 15 shooters at a time up to about 47-50 YDS. I really want to host this. I just do not know when or how to get it all set up so we will have a decent crowd of new and experienced shooters. I watched the videos from the SC Shoot and there really does not seem to be too much to it, other than the awesome prizes that were donated. Let me know what you all think. This needs to happen. IF we don't just get together and do it then it will just be an idea and not a plan!!!!
