Tether a Discovery

  I'm looking for info. on how to tether a ninja P.B tank to my Disco.  Can anyone help me with whats needed parts wise . For example will the tank have an appropriate Foster on it for connection to microbore hose. rsterne I found an old post of yours concerning shimming the regulator for the desired output psi.  Any experience or advice I can get will be appreciated. Just gettin tired of stopping to refill the gun just when I'm getting in the groove ,it messes with my concentration. Sure you all know what thats like.

I would recommend that you aim for about 1500-1600 psi regulator output pressure as then you can still run a 1.8K burst disc without blowing it all the time.... That will put a (stock) Disco right in the middle of the sweet spot also.... Don't forget that if your regulator has a 3K burst disc on the output side and the regulator leaks, you could end up with 3000 psi in the gun....

You will need some sort of bleed valve between the tank and the gun or you won't be able to remove the Foster from the gun with pressure in the system....

  Thanks Bob . Any idea where I could source that bleed valve?  Also does the Foster on the tank have a check valve or is there a shutoff on the reg.  Thanks again for sharing your knowledge as this is something I want to pursue.

+1 on the bleed valve, to disconnect my remote line I have to shut off the 48ci tank and  shoot the gun empty so there is no pressure in the line, a bleed valve would be a good thing to have(I'm lazy though).

The Foster on the tank is for filling.... The output of the regulator is through the paintball fitting on the end which has a pin valve in it.... You need an adapter to fit on that and they usually have a valve to depress the pin valve.... However, they don't usually have a bleed valve.... Check out the Disco kit for filling from a buddy bottle.... That has everything you need....

....I contacted Ray at drozdmax.com  last week and ordered a Ninja Paintball 90 cu/in [16.2 cu/ft] 4,500 PSI Input, 2,300 PSI Output Carbon Fiber Tank for $159.95....Ray can custom shim the Ninja Regulator to get from 1,000 PSi to 2,400 PSi regulated output..

tom no wyou can rent ur self a big ole tank and just keep it in the garage and fill off ur small tank, if you go out of town you can refill ur small tank and just take that with you
