Could be just the lighting on the photo. The newer ones have a matte looking type plating, rather than chromed.
I can see the breech, and it's gotta GRTIII rather than the new insert.

Do you mean the trigger instead of the breech? It looks like a standard issue, being black. I agree, the lighting seems to have a blue cast to it in all of the photos. The early guns had the shiney breech and it's supposed to be a bit fussier to load IIRC. The second gun would likely be my choice, since it does have a gold trigger fer sure. Only thing about the CFX is they is a (%^() to load with .177 wadcutters. Why I had a couple of .22's.

I meant the breech... the first gun (from the Yellow) looks like someone took a sharpie to the breech, but maybe I'm just looking at it weird. I'm referring to this picture:

LOL...yeah, it does look like a Sharpie to me now too..
If it's a positive to be taken. It probably hasn't been removed. The serial number looks like maybe an '05, as both of mine had the same (ie: 04 or 05 etc.) front and back of the serial number. Perhaps just a coincidence? Dunno.

Sounds like I may as well save up for an AA TX200 or RWS.

...or an HW97k... the black synthetic is a sweet, sweet looking gun and priced way below the wood stock guns...
