My new Rainstorm

Guys, I just got my new rainstorm in .22 and I love it.  I only shot about 50 pellets through it and at 10 yards its really accurate.
I fit and finish is awesome.  I do have a question about a puff of air that hits my face when I fire the gun.  Is this normal?
I all so want to mention that this gun is just as loud as my disco.  I would of thought that it would have been quieter.
I will post a more comprehensive review once the snow melts and I can shoot outside.

Many side levers deliver a little puff, I wouldn't say it is abnormal.

Glad it made it to you safe, very surprised about the sound level though

I thought the older versions were louder then the new. Maybe you got one ?

Could be the breech O ring. Mine in .177 had the breech O ring twisted and was loud and I could feel air coming from the breech. Pulled barrel and looked and could only see half the O ring. Pulled it out and it was intact but had half the  thickness gone on one side.  Replaced it and cured the problem. I think it came from factory this way as it was loud from the gitgo.

The gun overall length is 39 inches and from what I can tell, this is the new standard length.  This would account for maybe being louder.
I've all so read that the puff of air is because the shroud and baffles deflecting the air towards the shooter.  Not sure about that.

Here's my resource on the overall 39" length.  Plus PA states that the gun is 39" long with some versions being 41.5" long.

I will take a look at the seals once I shoot it a little more.  I would like to shot it over the crony before I start breaking it down.
Overall I'm not to concerned, if there is a issue I'll get it sorted out.

So your saying from the factory you had the same issue and the fix is the o-ring.    I need to look into this.

I'm glad it made it too.  I ordered it from Straight Shooters and They delivered to my house as long as I emailed them a copy of my FOID Card.

Yeah I thought that so too so I removed the shroud and same thing.  I do have to say this gun is way more acurate than my Disco at 10 yards.  LOL

Good news!  I called Air Venturi and they helped me find that the breech O-ring was missing.  They told me the size 009 and I picked it up at the hardware store.  Its  installed, and tested good.  I still get a very little puff of air but nothing like before.  That little puff is coming from the vent on the shroud.  The gun is all so more quite.   Thanks for all the help.
