TX MIII vs HC ?
«
on:
September 12, 2010, 10:01:10 AM »
Thinking of picking up a TX. and was wondering if there is any accuracy differences between the Reg MIII and HC. I'm not a hunter ,but is there any other advantages to the HC other then the shorter barrel?
Thanks
Dustin

Some say the cocking lever on the HC will dig into your hand. I don't have one. I have the MKiii
Nice gun. HC looks better... quieter........both good....

Thanks Tim. I have a MIII Too.Very nice gun indeed I am looking to get one in .22 and wasn't sure if I should go HC also.
I have read it is harder to cock.
I think I'm going to go with the MIII in walnut. I have always wanted a rifle in lefty.
Thanks

Using it for hunting? The HC is also 3/4 pounds lighter, which is a pretty big difference if you're carrying it all day. It would make sense that it's harder to cock with the shorter cocking rod (not as much leverage). I got a Mark III also, but it's primary use is targets -so the weight doesn't matter. I've never heard of any accuracy issues with either, both are outstanding in that department.
