i just joined and am new to airgunning - i live in annandale and would like to meet up with some of you guys to go shooting and learn some things first hand - not sure if anyone is willing to take on a mentorship role, but i'd really appreciate it - its almost too much to try and read and research every detail i'll need to learn - especially regarding air supply and the do's and don'ts prior to purchasing an airgun and accessories (scopes, pellets, etc.)  maybe we can organize an intra state gathering?

There are lots of folks on the GTA from the NOVA area.  Also try posting in the general airgun gate and i think some folks will step up.

Hey VA,
My wonderful wife and I were married in Floyd over 37 years ago. About a half mile off of Rt 8 on Wills Ridge. Many fond memories.

lloyd.

I here you name all the time at The GTA chat. I hear do do some amazing work. I'm in richmond and one of this days I'll have to pay you a visit. If that is OK. I have a disco that I have modified my self the great help of the GTA members. Right now I'm debating on a double tube but have not decided. New gun or double tube. Tough choise. Right now I'm shooting 15 shots at 830 fps with JSB 18.1 with a ST Dev of 4.3 and spread of 13. Very happy with my set up right now.

Just wanted to introduce myself

Daniel

Hi Daniel,
If you have a gun that is making you happy and you want to mod it, figure out if you will be able to undo the mod if it doesn't work. Then probably go ahead and do the mod anyway.  Its one of the best ways to learn, IMHO.
I am usually around for visitors.  Just send me a PM.
