One thing I noticed...

It was faster navgating with the old GTA by just scroll to the top of any page and click on the "Gate" you want to go to next, rather than have to click on "forum" in the tool bar at the top of the page, wait for the next page to come up, then click on the next Gate to go to.

Any chance of getting a tool bar with all the Gates listed to show at the top of each page

?

Yes Lampy. You can mass upload. The feature is there. Just look for it..

DK, select additonal options at bottom left side of message box. There you can add what ever you want.

Just above the first post at the top of the page is a bar that looks like this....
GTA > All Springer/PCP Air Gun Discussion General > Back Room > Your Feed Back And General Opinions
I just click on the area I want to go to, like the "Back Room" then I can read the next thread or If I'm done there I click on "All Springer/PCP ....... " and I can go to any of the "Gates" from there..... Hope this helps.

Paul, I will be working on that sooner or later Paul. That was one of the features I liked on the GTA. Would a drop down work for you? I thought about a drop down in the menu block.

Oh also we do have a drop down for all the forums listed. Look at bottom right hand corner of each page in forums.

Thanks for all of your work Gene. New site looks good. It will take some getting used to. If I were you I'd take suggestions for a few weeks before changing anything to give everyone a chance to learn what the new site offers.

I agree with the whole drop down menu for the different forums. That would be perfect. Nothing will replace the old GTA but I think this new one is pretty awesome! Thanks for all of your hard work Gene.

Ditto to the drop-down !!!

And there's features here that are an improvement over the old GTA, I like that if I drop in and am reading a page and want to reply, I can log in from that page and it comes right back to that same page.

Wow! Darn near scared the pants off me! Got redirected to some weird other site and thought I was going to get stuck in cyber-space without my daily fix. Third time was a charm, found the air gun link.

After tooling around a bit, a couple of things were noted. The drop down menu, as has been mentioned. In playing, I hit "quote". As I was just exploring, I really didn't want to actually quote anything, but there was no way to cancel. Had to back all the way out. Could cancel buttons be added? Also, are the archives going to be available? They are such a great resource.

Other than that, I think you fellas have really out-done yourselves! Kudo's to all for the incredible effort, I know if I tried something like this, what little hair I have left would be gone!

One thing I've had happen twice now..
While typing a reply to a post, if I open another browser window to look up something to get a link to help with an answer ... when I finish typing and hit the "Post" button, I get a new page that says I can't post.

When that happens, I find I've been logged-out and have to re-login, only to find all that I'd typed is gone. Then I have to start all over again.

Does this website get jealous of going to other websites ? Should I bring flowers to stay out of the Dog house ?

Sticky posts are made as references. This way a common topic or a well written guide can be stickied so that other users do not need to search to find exactly what they are looking for.

everything so far has been great.... any questions i've had seems someone has asked as i read the posts..... now i have my screen customized to my exact liking by changing the color, text size, and changing the posts to read old to new...... i didn't like reading the replies before reading the original quote or question....... only thing i did was to list my location in the custom title box in my profile.... i enjoy seeing where were all located at... different folks from different locations add to the interest.......... mike

So far, so good. I'll change the default colors once I figure it out. Only complaint (yeah, a complaint) - the goofy avatars. Kind of distracting but I can live with them.
