haha, the leak didn't feel big to me but I guess it was enough to hurt performance by that much. I'm using a 24" crosman barrel, and a 2260 tube. As for pressure, i have a 48ci tank with a remote line which will be tethered to this rifle and I plan on setting the reg output to around 1300-1500psi but as for now I'm just filling the 2260 tube to around 1500psi, I will try a higher pressure but I don't feel comfortable doing so because of the roll stamp. Any more ideas guys? ive done everything to the valve except boring it out.

35 FPE from 1500 psi is pretty good....

but 40fpe from 1100psi is even better lol. yeah I think I got 35fpe more at like 1300psi because I filled to about 1500 then took a shot to empty a pellet and then put the heavy jsb in there and took a second shot which got me the 35fpe. I'm currently working on my pump(again lol) and will try taking the first shot from 1500psi with the heavy jsb.

yeehaaaaw

got some awesome news!!!! filling it to 1500psi I got 840fps with the 25.4gr jsb!! I filled it up to about 1800-1850psi and took six shots with the same pellet and ran out of air completely after the sixth shot, here is the shot string:
1. 889fps or 44.6fpe
2. 823fps or 38.2fpe
3. 779fps or 34.2fpe
4. 711fps or 28.5fpe
5. 624fps or 21.9fpe
6. 482fps or 13.1fpe

This is using the .041 hammer spring, I will try to get a decent curve, maybe I should go back to the disco spring?
Just wait till I chamber a 32gr eun jin, I feel 50fpe coming.

haha, yeah even I need a bigger reservoir, only 5 shots at max power lol. but I do have a 48ci tank

You should be able to get a good string with a stock Disco spring if you stay below 2000 psi.... It peaks at about 1600 psi with heavier pellets, less in a more powerful gun (like yours), but higher with a bit more preload.... On the other hand, you can use your heavier spring and reduce the preload to drop the velocity on the first shot or two and flatten out the string....

You will soon tire of wasting air to get the last few fps....

I will lower it down to about 30fpe with either cphp or something a little heavier, I don't need to be at 40fpe all the time lol. I will try both backing the power adjuster off with the .041spring and the disco spring. This guns is supposed to be carbon fiber in a couple of days

Looks like you might want to look into a ez dip kit, they have a good looking cf pattern. Plus with the parts being dipped the out come if done right and the prep work done right should come out fantastic

i can understand that

as for me if i buy a ez dip kit im going to dip everything i can. lol, take my phone apart and camo it, camo my bmx bike parts. i would go for the digital camo tho over traditional

Lol might as well do your room! Also how would I ez dip the 2260 tube and barrel without stuff getting inside? thats kinda a reason why i wrapped it instead of dipping(I know very little about ez dip).

just plug the ends of the tube, find a bolt that will thread into it. might be able to find a small plastic orange cap you find on some stuff that people dont want dirt in, like some tubes and things of that nature at home depot or lowes

then for the slots in the rear of the tube use blue 3m tape and tape the day lights out of it.. you can always test dip the part to check for sealing in plain water. the process is just that dipping so its not going to be under very long.

oh or pvc tube plugs from home depot or lowes.. their threads are plastic, the tubes threads are hard metal. so what if the threading isnt perfect, you can rethread it with force with out fear of damaging the threads.. plus the plugs would make ideal locations for the handles or fishing line used to hang the part. id suggest clothes hangers
but still id use the blue 3m tape for the slots in the tube and tape it up tighter then fort knox

ur welcome but all i have done is remove one of the few remaining things keeping from buying a ez dip kit.. didnt want to think of how to prep the tubes and barrels for dipping untill i had it because it would make me want it more.

id like to know to, my carbine can put out some power. but there is not telling at what fpe level the tko self destructs

yes that is a tko(the 7 inch), so far I haven't had problems with it. Although now at 40+fpe it has trouble with keeping it quiet lol.
