I recently outfitted my Impact with a .177 barrel Kit.  At first it wouldn't cycle pellet very well and accuracy was sub-par using every pellet I tried.  Working a clean bevel on the breech side pellet opening and polishing the that area greatly smoothed the pellet cycling and helped a lot with he accuracy.  I then polished the entire barrel and installed a CF Sleeve, which tightened thing even more.  It's now shooting 10.65 grain H&N Barracuda Pellets spot on at 50 yards!  So, when this fatty wandered onto the feed station this afternoon, the new .177 barrel earned its keep!



I had to wait for the bird to move before I could take the shot, but once the coast was clear, the fat rat went down!  The Bunny didn't even flinch when the rat went down!

PAUL! Timing is EVERYTHING! Excellent shot, video and pics and yup, that wabbit didn't even flinch! And, nice work on that .177 barrel which definitely paid dividends in the payment of a fatty...😂👍! I think I have a bit of traffic myself, set up and time will tell.

Thank you Randall!  It did take a little effort on that barrel, but it's paid off in the end!  I think the rabbits have figured out that they are safe here!  From me anyway, I did find a fluffy little cotton tail in the yard last week, so I'm thinking they aren't safe from other critters!  Glad to hear you are starting to see movement!  Looking forward to seeing some posts soon!

LOL!  Thank James.  The rabbits will sit in the yard when I'm shooting targets.  They don't even run when I bring seed to the bait station, they just watch until I walk away and then have a feast!

Thank you Marty!  yea, it's sad you need to rework a brand new barrel to get it to shoot right!  FX needs to refund me half the cost of that barrel kit to cover the cost of my labor making it work!  I'm sure they'll get right on that!
