Hear ye... Hear ye!

Come one, come all... Final match of the Casual Match #10 of 2024/2025 is open for business!!!

The Casual Match is a fun match. All are welcome! Boys, girls, men, women, and significant others - everybody get your pellet gun and have a fun time shooting. Shoot whatever you want at 10 meters (33 feet) +/- depending on what you have available. Use any position or rest that you prefer. Goal is to have a good time and enjoy shooting with your family/friends!

Rules are the same as for the 50’ Casual Match, except distance is 10 meters (33 feet) instead of 50 feet, using the 50 foot target of choice. If you are limited to distance, shoot at whatever distance you have available. Classes are: PCP Rifle, Jumper (Piston Rifle, spring or gas), Pistol, or Pumper Class. One entry may be made in each class.

Match #10 will run 2 weeks... Start: 5 May with targets/scores turned in no later than midnight 18 May.

Another attempt with my Walther LG400. This is my highest score so far. I tried a slightly different breathing technique and I like the results.

John, I think you might be counting the nine ring as tens. Tens are only if you hit the dot. The ring around the dot is a 9 unless I am mistaken. Charlie knows for sure. Still a good target either way!

Mighty fine shooting - standing with a diopter site excellent!

To answer the question on what is an X, I'm copying and pasting directly from the rules: "In order to score an "X," the center 10 ring dot on the "45" target for 0.177 (4.5mm) caliber must be completely obliterated, or the larger gray ring around the smaller 10 ring dot must be completely obliterated on the "55" and "635" targets for 0.22 and 0.25 caliber (5.5mm and 6.35mm)". The key phrase here is: "must be completely obliterated"

Very good shooting nonetheless! Too bad this is the last event until fall.

I dont think I am making any errors in scoring, I score using an overlay and magnifier.

Thanks for the kind words. I've been working to improve my off-hand shots. I really had fun participating and it motivated me to keep shooting. There are no local matches in my area so I get my "fix" here.

So this is the last Casual Match? Are other matches going to start? Thanks for hosting these.

Hello All,

I really enjoyed shooting with you all this season. What I enjoyed most was spending time with my Father. Thank you very much Charlie for running the show and making this available to us. I'm looking forward to future shoots. I hope to see you shooting in the 50 foot.

We shot Match #10 yesterday. We inadvertently cheated... if you want to call it that. I printed up a bunch of targets early on and had the setting on 'fit to margin', which made them a little bit larger. It also made the 'X' dot larger. I accidently grabbed those targets instead. For what it's worth, the 'X' dots are harder to cover with a 4.5mm pellet...HaHa. Anyway, it is what it is.

Looking forward to shooting with you all in the future matches.

It was a good shoot yesterday! A tie with my Son was a nice way to end the season. Thank you Charlie for your time and running the matches. I thoroughly enjoyed the competitive spirit of all the participants. Looking forward to another match here soon. Thanks everybody!

Good morning y'all!

I wish to personally thank each and everyone of you for taking time to participate over the past months. It was a good time. It is my intention, to start up the casual match in the fall.

Until then, y'all have a good Summer and know that the outdoor matches are starting soon.
