Squirrel #2 2025

This squirrel has been raiding the guavas for about a week but every time I set up for it it leaves until yesterday afternoon. It was eating a guava as I set up for it then it took a siesta but it didn't afford me an ethical shot so I waited patiently with the Notos. After about 5 minutes it got up and began eating the same guava but still no shot. After another 5-7 minutes it got up and turned while eating the guava giving me a perfect broadside shot to it's right temple between it's eye and ear....thwack....down it went DRT falling onto the grass a young adult female.

Hunter! Thank you so much! I had no idea that squirrels ate guavas as some pass right on by and ignore them but some make a beeline for them! Occasionally when target shooting in my back yard I will hear crunching very close to me and I will look up and see one within 3 feet of my head munching away on a guava...😂! I have have turned and pointed my PCP's barrel a few inches at their dome with them just ignoring me, no shot taken as it faces my neighbors house!

 Randall thanks again for posting G-hog #3. I'm just working on my second cup o' Joe and watching two gray's chasing each other around the maple feeding tree. They get a Shoo, GIT !! now , 'cause the season's closed . BUT , that doesn't mean something might land/ whizz REALLY close some time to get their attention    !

Excellent head shot Randall!  Have no mercy on those guava thief's!  I've been out of country this past week and sure have missed a lot!  Between you and Marty, the rodent population is taking a real hit!

As per our conversation please hold off posting squirrel kills until squirrel season which I believe starts in September in CA.  Them's the rules  
In the meantime we will enjoy reading your night rat adventures and patiently wait until hunting season for the guava thieves, as we all wait to go after them   

I had a big fat one on the front lawn (probably pregnant) staring at me through the living room window this morning and digging looking for grubs and old nut stashes.  It takes a little bit of self control not to grab an air gun, but I always have the last word from September to February (squirrel season) so it's gotten easier over the years

PAUL! I hope you had a fantastic vacation, welcome back! And, thank you so much! I also picked up a Taipan Veteran 2 Tactical 550mm .22 from Dillon (Dairyboy)! It's so compact yet it's built like a tank.
Very fun to shoot, accuracy is stelar and it shoots slugs really well. Cocking is sublime and the trigger is RAW like just wonderful.

Thank you Randall, we were in Budapest taking a river cruise up the Danube to Melk, Austria and back with stops along the way, to include Vienna, Austria.  We had a blast (other than the air travel over and back, that wasn't much fun!)

Sounds like you got yourself a winner with that Taipan Veteran 2 Tactical!  I bet Dillion had it tuned to perfection too!  Congratulations on the new to you airgun!
