Air Arms 200t fill adapter

Hey guys and gals,
  I hit my limit for the day and have turned to the internet for answers. Wishful thinking I know lol... But it's definitely the best shot I got, so here goes. I have a beautiful Air Arms s200t from Pyramyd Air. Been holding onto for years watching my nephews grow up. I was lucky enough to be the one who got to take them to hunters safety class and later on a trap and skeet shooting. Oldest got his first deer last fall. It's been an awesome experience and glad I made the move home. Over the years its proven to be a work in progress getting this package ready for presentation. The gun came with a brass fill adapter for the rear fill on the removable air cylinder. I been through a lengthly state to state move and have revisited this project a few times when it had my time and attention. I noticed the fill adapter didn't fit anything but the air cylinder, frustrated I researched then ordered the stainless steel adapter with quick detach fitting from Pyramyd Air, it screws on the brass fitting Air Arms supplied. A total of three separate pieces screwed together to make the transition!!! What a Rube Goldberg!!! Any machinist out there!?  I got disgusted when I had to spend the money for the stainless steel part and dropped the project for a while. Couldn't help but wonder... what will be the next future issue will be? Leading me to today, feeling brave and motivated by sunlight and a warming trend on the way, I got out the aa200t and started going through things. I put a Williams rear peep sight and finally installed the front peep and installed my preferred expensive insert. Mannn things were  going great! Thing is amazingly accurate and I quickly decided any of the few off shots were either my fault or ammo inconsistencies. Nice and quiet backyard friendly, a delight to hold and handle this little gun. Then dreadfully, I knew it was inevitable, came time to refill. Hasn't been going the best and I can't get any air into this tube. The brass Air Arms adapter has a thumb screw for a bleeder. There is the threaded hole for the thumb screw and right next to it is a little hole which seems to be the bleeder port. So when backing the screw out the air has its own path out. My problem is that there is air blowing out the port hole! No matter where the screw is positioned. It was screwed all the way in then I slowly backed the thumb screw out with zero change in the leak. So my question is for those of you who have this brass Air Arms adapter part, Is there suppose to be a small ball in the fitting, underneath the thumb screw? Or is thumb screw suppose to have a tapered end to seal bottom of port? I know it's a long shot but if anyone can help me here I super appreciate it! I can't imagine googling this wormhole. I may or maynot have already went a little nuts over this today and grateful no one was around haha. But the boys just finished up wrestling season, youngest got forth in state today actually! He took a couple tough losses but he's a seventh grader going against eighth graders at 145lbs. Was hoping to take it over there this week and get them straightened away on it. I looked. There IS a ball. The screw would be a needle type if there wasn't. Here is a pic. The ball is 3.97mm or .156 in. Hope it helps. FWIW...  the rifle is worth investing in... get the Altaros foster fill endcap. Well worth it. Getting a 4mm ground ball should get you fixed up.

  Thank you!!! That's priceless information right there. I was afraid I was going to be stuck in the interweb. I wonder when it fell out!? lol seems kinda half assed if is the case. Will look for the ball online. Although leaning towards getting a new Altaros fill valve with gauge, for the front of the bottle so the boys don't have to unscrew it and get it all scratched up? IDK how things will go. Will have to wait and see how they treat it.  Things will be more straight forward. And absolutely agree with you and it is worth investing in. Ive put quite a few shots on paper with only the one fill I had and am getting more fond of the little gun. It's like a nice piece of furniture too! But Im going to look for this ball and have a back up plan. I have feeling I'll miss it now! But it's going for its intended purpose. I got plenty of toys, but wouldn't mind having the two piece version of this little rifle for myself!

Yeah, it’s a big hassle to unscrew the air vessel everytime it needs a refill.

Mine’s the Hunter Series that sports a longer tube.

PA sells the type that you don’t have to unscrew but it doesn’t have a gauge:

Good deal ! Glad you are getting it sorted. I love my 200's. I would like to get a .22 or pay to have Hector make me a .20cal. I think they are lovely airguns and highy encourage enthusiasts to own one.

Jsb 8.4 is all I got so far and seems fair enough. May look into if we come across an issue. Mine looks like your without the fancy bling. Yours looks nice.

Yeah Im hoping these boys know what they're getting. This thing is cool and I agree its a good one to let lay and allow people to shoot.

Anyone have one of those Altaros or Huma regulators for higher shot count and less shot fps deviation? Mines stamped 16 joule

It isn't gone yet and I already want another one. a shame I set it aside for so long

Again I have problems quoting others, it doesn't allow me to link external something... whatever... What could a guy expect from one of these regulators for a factory 16 joule rifle? If it's to get more shots per fill, I don't want it, lol. These kids need to be pumping more. They'll never catch the amount of pumps I put in my daisy 880 way back when. Builds character
