Something I've wondered about with the hw50 is cocking compared to the r7. The r7 i just break with a hand on the barrel and a hand on the stock while standing with no leverage (nothing touching the knee or any other body part to gain leverage: think breaking a stick with just your handsj. The hw50 seems like it's just big enough you would need some leverage point to cock it. But that's a guess.

On youtube their was a man who used his 99 in .22 to take pigeons and rabbits at 70 yards. It was quite amazing to watch. His channel was Vermin Hunters TV i think.ThxRay

I don't have any problems with the .22cal or .20cal shooting out to distance, I can shoot my 50's just like ole Si, 50 60yds no problem for these rifles, all you need is a good mildot scope and get the proper zero, and shoot it to test the hold over at different ranges
The absolute best pellet I've found for my HW50 in 177 has been the JSB Express 7.87. This pellet has become somewhat of a legend for the HW50 in 177. Give it a try.
That's ok Ron, I love mine! and would probably be one of the last rifle's I would sell
How much energy does a "full power Hw50" Produce?
