My bullpup was supposed to arrive Friday, but tracking says it's only about 30 miles away, and will be delivered tomorrow!
I don't have one of these guns but if I did I would probably take the $30 and buy a set of weaver rings... case closed.I think first I would decide on the scope that is going to live on the gun and buy the rings accordingly.I mean, $30 ought to buy a pretty good set of rings.

Pic and weaver rails are the same width. They are different in the width between the rails front to back. The issue is that some rings do not close to less than 20mm. Picatinny and Weaver rails are actually 21.2mm wide. If you look at the majority of rings they are advertised as fitting 1mm or 20mm rails. Best bet is to take the $$ as I can pretty much guarantee you that NO ONE will ever get a new rail from Pinty. They are a reseller and are not looking to provide parts at all.
For the price, I'm going to be the glass half full kinda guy. I'll make it work one way or the other, and get an additional $30 off the price of the gun.

Why would there be Weaver rings if they don't fit Weaver rails correctly?

Probably as easy as a file.

Probably as easy as a file.Maybe it's me not understanding, but when I read the original issue, it was that the rails were not 22mm (actually 21.2) but they were just 19mm and the rings would not tighten far enough to secure them. If this is the issue then no amount of filing grinding or sanding will make any bit of difference. As is any set of weaver or pic rings will go on the rail without any modifications at all. If you have a set that the clamping does not go smaller than 20mm then they will not tighten. If they do clamp smaller than 19mm then they will work.
