I took a pigeon off the silo today w/ The BSA . I heard it hit tin on the landing but darn if I could find it! Several cats were in the area at the time & I suspected
one had snatched it up. The farmhand shoveling feed heard it hit also. Just as I was packed & leaving I noticed the pigeon's head hanging out of the barn rain
gutter ,AAAHHHH ! Oh well , it happens.

Marty, great shooting with your beautiful R10! I had a change to buy a used R10 in great shape about 10 years ago and I regretted not getting it ever since.
I put out almost a 1/4 lb of pretzel sticks (I cut them up in small pieces) early this morning and 5 minutes later I go to open the window and get ready for when they might arrive, and the flock was already out there with more flying in eating it all up! I ran to get the Notos but they were gone when I got back 20 seconds later, and not 1 pretzel piece left!
They eat so fast it's amazing how much a dozen birds can eat in less than 1/2 minute. They never stay/feed for more than 20-30 seconds. I knew they'd show up today because of the snow we got.

Thanks guys ! Harry, these starlings are everywhere here except where I can shoot ! I get a few stragglers now on an old sickly Elm tree at farm #1 once in
a while if I'm lucky. The farmer will eventually take the tree down, but is fretting over the cost. I'm going to lose a good shooting spot if & when that
happens. During normal weather this is a super landing zone. Pigeons are evading me also, hopefully as the weather warms they'll return. We were iced in
most of yesterday, now it's gusts of 20-30mph, not conducive to pellet shooting!
Randall , once again thank you for the picture posting ! My Queen is afraid she may have to put you on the payroll !
