recieved my 34 pro .177 from mdg the week before thanksgiving and got to get it set up before heading out for the holiday
(great guy to deal with buy the way very happy with the purchase) anyway i removed the muzzle break due to weight
and intalled the one piece scope mount on it and mounted a leapers 3x9x32 a/o mil dot scope on it and sighted it in at 25 yds with jsb exact jumbo heavy s the rifle shoots awesome with this combination and isn t front heavy at all i took the rifle with me to my mountain cabin where i spent thanksgiving week i stood on the deck every morning and every every evening and killed
5 or 6 sparrows 1 large ground squerrill and a bunch of other non game birds that were flocking around in the back yard towards the forrest this is my first german made rifle and it seems awesome so far definatly great build quality in this rifle
hopefully it will be reliable for rabbit season next year but ill probably have a 34 panther in .22 by then

Congratulations on the gun. It's definitely capable of killing rabbits and other small game.

I think you'll like the .22 caliber much better. Don't get me wrong. .177 is a lot of fun with heavy pellets (personally i think its too strong for standard 7.9 pellets), but the Diana 34 really shines in .22
Once tuned, and shot for a few thousand rounds, they all smooth out and shoot as nice as the higher end spring rifles. JMHO
