So sorry Bill. I know exactly how you feel. I lost 2 school buddies this month already.  At 81 and they the same I really feel it.

Been a couple changes..
It's predicted to rain most of the day on Monday (tomorrow) and as you can see from the picture, the barn is unfinished and open on the front end. Also with the number of people expected parking would be a muddy mess.
Some of you may have seen me post about the "Venue at the Runway" event place at the airport adjacent to our place. The owners also knew Killer very well and have offered the facility for his celebration of life party. Killer's sister's church is also providing catering from our one of our local restaurants "The Chicken Shack".
Betty Lou and I will go over at 11:00am and help set up for the 1:00 pm event. Several people, including myself, have been asked to stand and say a few words about Killer and our special times with him. There have been so many that I don't even know where to start.. I guess I'll just let my thoughts at the time tell the story.
One thing is for sure.. the libation will be flowing freely because that was just Killer's way.

I didn't have to speak and I'm glad. Lots of people I knew and some I didn't. It was good.

Good friends like that don't hang around enough but it's the problematic ones that stay put.
