I just tried to take a picture of the location on mine, it is a faint stamping, and is hard to photograph. If painted it would cover it up also.

Look here for the numbers.. may be covered up with the barrel protector for pumping.

Now my 'Dans are awakened from the hibernation, they each held two pumps pressure over the winter ...and I got more .20 pellets now.

Well it does have a serial number but all but the last 2 numbers is covered by the plastic piece. Thanks Scott for pointing out where the numbers were.

I sure hope they let you take it off their hands, everybody should have one.
They're the greatest air rifle ever made and I will never ever hear otherwise.
For that reason I would completely understand if they don't want to let go of it, but it sure doesn't look like it's getting used.

The thing is I had one back in the 60s and 70s but it was stolen from my father in laws cabin in the desert.
I don't think the one I'm looking at is going to need much mechanically just the cosmetics. What is secret sauce and how do I make it?

Mac1's "Secret Sauce" is simply a specific hydraulic oil... he doesn't blend it.
I find Marvel Mystery Oil (MMO) is just as good... if not better as it cleans
and
lubricates.

I figure if it's made for pneumatic power tools, it's good enough for airguns.
I was an automotive tech for 20 years... oiled all my pneumatic tools with MMO... now 20 years later they are still running strong.
