The Notos regulator is adjustable, but to do so requires some disassembly.  There are how to guides on this forum.

The Notos was my first thought when I saw your post.  Lights out precise, lightweight, carbine.  Quiet with the stock baffles, even quieter with aftermarket.

Urban weighs a little more, very accurate, not sure I'd call it a carbine though.

3622 is my current favorite, one of the lightest PCPs you can get.  Not really a carbine, though, and my experience has shown the stock Crosman barrels fall way shy of the Notos or Urban for precision shooting.  I think it's strictly single shot, too, so another strike.

All are hand pumpable -- about $50 on AZ for a "4500 psi pcp pump" and you're on your way.
Get some JSB exact domed pellets, very consistent quality for testing or pesting, 14, 16 or 18 grain are all good to try.
You may want a chronograph to help with tuning -- I have one like this it works just fine, about $30

Here they kill trees, damage avian wildlife, spread bovine tuberculosis.
Only good to shoot, trap, or destroy.

Hugh, do you shoot wooly possums with a 22 airgun? I know that the wooly possum is a non-native invasive species there in N-Zed. It's different here. I just can't bring myself to shoot an animal that is marginally smarter than an ivy plant.
