 I know your situation is over for now but I just saw this thread.

 I would say I would try to choose of the best old classics. The modern stuff is easier to replace with comparable. But, I also know when pressed to evacuate for the Fairview Fire I only took my Benjamin Woods Walker because I currently used it the most I did not really think there was much chance at all of the fire getting our house. I just left them in the gun safes with faith them would still be here when I came back.

 I always thought it would be harder, but when it comes down to it, it's just stuff.
 I would probably take my Crosman 600's and pick of the Sheridans if there is a next time.

When I finally get a Racine H pistol, now that would be an absolutely perfect combo.
The E pistol is great but requires co2 cartridges.

 I am not the OP but, I definitely consider both aspects but lean toward the save factor for me because of this type of situation.

In a nutshell yes.  Ideally it's a balance between sentimentality and practicality. That's why I decided to take two guns.  The 1400 for sentimental reasons but it is also a powerful and accurate shooter.  The 3622 for practical reasons.  It too is powerful and accurate but it is more versatile than the 1400 and not as heavy.  I have air rifles principally for hunting.  This assures I'll at least have something to hunt with this hunting season if all the rest gets blown away.

Well there's good insurance and then there's the kind I got.  Cheap insurance.

The last time I filed a hurricane claim it took nearly three years for the insurance company to "evaluate" my claim.

If only two airguns, I’d take my Steroided 342 & Mac1 2240. Both have been powered modded, both .22 caliber so ammo would be consolidated. One 500 count tin of 18g pellets. Both are compact too.
Of course this would only be for small game purposes.
