I honestly don’t care one way or the other, whether it’s discontinued, whether it’s springer rated. To me, on the south side of $150, a variable with AO is a disposable item on a breakbarrel. There are a few exceptions. Hawke’s 1” tube scopes are not for springers, but I have had great luck with them. The longest lasting scope I have put on a breakbarrel is the Leupold FXI 4x28 rimfire scope, which is not recommended for springers by Leupold. But there it sits on my R9, holding zero through the years like an absolute champion. But they are discontinued now, so I plan to put it on a proper rimfire because springers eventually break them all. This Bushy will probably be a better scope for my R9 anyway. Until it inevitably breaks, then I will put a Vortex 4-12 AO to the test 👌.
