Parts and adhesives

Working on a stock for my DreamLine Lite.
I plan on bending some aluminium to the basic shape. Then do a print with the grooves for the aluminium part.
The printed parts will glue over that so it's embeded.
What adhesives do Ya'll recommend?

Not to sure I understand what you are trying to do but my goto adhesive is
PC-7 or Marine-tex.
Your question sounds like a simple one but it can be very complicated.
As with many things there are many variables to consider i.e. material type,fitment, flexibility, shear strength, machinabilty ect.
Without seeing your part and making a lot of assumptions bonding aluminum  to plastic may be challenging.

The parts of the stock will be printed with PETG. So mostly interested in the best adhesive to glue that together.
The metal part will be inside of the pieces so a good epoxy to attach that should be good.

I would run some test pieces for the PETG.
Some adhesives react unfavorably to some plastic. Marine-tex being one.
As far as epoxy its hard to beat PC-7 and JB Weld for versatility.

I did a quick search and found this petg glue.
Its called 3d gloop petg. It claims to be the best?

For my skeleton stocks (thread below), which were CF-PETG, I used JB Weld Plastic Bonder, which is a 2-part Urethane for repairing car parts, and is available in Tan or Black.... It is less viscous than epoxy, so easier to spread inside the joiner wells, sets in 15 min. (so no panic) and cures in 30 min. (although I would suggest at least an hour before stressing it)....



I don't know how it would work for aluminum, but it says "plastic to metal" on the package.... I would think if you gave the aluminum some "tooth" with fairly coarse sandpaper it would be great!.... It has a strength of 3770 psi, which is excellent.... I could glue in the joiners for 3 stocks with one package....

I bet that JB weld with some all-thread would work quite well.

I've got 1/8" x 3/4" x 4' aluminium to bend for the stock.
It will be glued inside the parts after I do the 3D work for it's placement.
I just don't trust PETG alone for this part.
