Yankee dude.I noticed when the stock was off and I was messing with the adjustment screw just to see its limits and each adjustment I'd check to see where the safelty ended up sitting at and on the safety pin there is a spring looking thing that clicks in and out of a groove when you engage the safety I adjusted mine so that it still goes in the groove when I flip the safety barely. If I confused you let me know and ill post some pics.
Ohhh yeahh sorry bout that as soon as I get off work ill take the pics and post them..
Ohhh Dave BTW can you measure your NV's breech block where the cocking linkage connects to? I know there trail's is 8mm. Thanks in advance
Alright here they are!If you look on the top of the safety there are two grooves for when you engage the safety and disengage it. I adjusted mine so when you engage it it goes right in the groove and no further. I practically have no first stage and its completely functional and safe. I also removed the stock adjustment screw and save everything that you take out you might have to put them back in case something goes wrong or you need to take advantage of your warranty. Happy shooting!Mike
Ahhhaaa that is a great idea I guess we would need more measurements and look at more schematics. Ill be on the hunt and let you know whatever I find out
I had the Crosman nitro venom .22 I did not like mine , the power felt weak to me, the rifle felt bulky and a tad heavy, I also order a stoeger x20 at the same time. oddly it was one oz lighter then the venom, but felt lighter and way more cool and comfortable and it had enough power that i was very happy with it. remember all new rifles have to have the barrels cleaned inside.the stoeger x 20 is awesome i sanded mine and re stained and refinished it and tuned it. btw dave the scope on the stoeger combo pkg was stronger then the venom combo pkg and had a one peice mount too also installed new grt 111 trigger aw its sweet. next step is i may install the first 6 parts from the Benjamin nitro trail XL hardwood .22 from the pdf schematic sheet into my stoeger, with some modification of course i just did that with my crosman optimist but used the first 5 parts from the benjamin trail hardwood .22 and man talk about awesome. i had to mod two things yes dave i was thinking of the xl gas spring myself and i believe they are longer, but I have to research that to be sure. Maybe the inside of the piston where the gas springs rod seats against is shorter, so the gas spring is longer? i will order the first 6 parts from the XL and take a chance it certainly is cheap enough
