Alloy talk is worth turdlets to me

I’m not tryin to be crude, but my opinion is crass on the subject. When a manufacturer refuses to even use their own pellets as the metric to which they’re gauging FPS (so I can garner FPE) it chaps my butt cheeks. Infuriating. What does “up to X with alloy pellets” mean to me when I’m sitting on a tool chest of lead pellets from every brand? If Hatsan wants to promote (solely) the speed  of their projectiles in a market that isn’t cuckolded to 12PFPE, why not let them use their own ammo as the control? Wouldn’t that be worth more to the consumer?
Mini rant, but wouldn’t Gamo/Hatsan/Umarex/crosman benefit from more information given that the companies themselves produce “budget” guns?
Again, this is one hillbillies opinion, but presuming that your customers will be swayed by gimmicky box info makes the equal presumption that your customers are either
 1) intellectual midgets
OR
2) hose who don’t want to drop a Thousand Bucks on a gun don’t deserve Real Stats.

Either way, I’m bugged
