hi guys,

I replaced the valve (number 25 of the exploded view) however I cant get the pin to seat inside the hole as the valve doesnt fit all the way in just using hand strength. How do I exert enough force on the valve so that it seats all the way in so as to allow the pin to be put back in without damaging the brass valve? (I have tested the new valve being held only with the pressure of part 30 and there are no leaks) I damaged it the last time and I want to avoid forcing it. Pictures attached (one with the damaged groove of the valve that I have replaced).

When you put the valve in the tube, Don't try to drive the pin in. Use a drill shank smaller than the pin to wiggle the valve until the pin hole lines up perfectly with the hole in the tube. I can see from the pic that the valve was crooked when you tried to drive the pin in. HTH

PS. If the hammer and spring are still in the tube, you need to take them out to get the valve all the way back. HTH

Install o-rings to the valve housing and set it within the main block.
Get a wooden dowel that fits vs the flange on the housing - where it resides within the main block.

Dowel needs to protrude a little bit beyond the main block.
Make sure orientation of the housing is correct vs the main block, ie that the cutout for the pin is where it's supposed to be.

Hold the main block in hand and set the dowel against something solid and lean into it. This will compress the o-ring at the rear of the sealing flange on the housing enough to install pin.

Om guns pins always exit from left to right, and installs vice versa.
Install pin from right side of block in other words

My own 25cal M-16 (bottle version) i ported so stiff i "broke into water". Port came to cut up the sealing surface for that o-ring on the flange of the valve housing. This happens as you approach 6mm transfers.
So.
Turned a rather think steel shim to support the o-ring and we were good to go. (This goes for the P-15 and P-35 as well btw).

In my book thereīs nothing inherently wrong with these puffs beside the lack of plenum volume. Plenum volume is downright pathetic small on all of them.
(Thus itīll be interesting to see what the new P-35X will handle with its stock 65cc one).



Few words of advice. I added an approx 120cc plenum that enters via the stock reg pressure gauge port. That port of course needs to be opened up to cater to this, be aware.
Gun hands me an easy 120J on the still stock barrel and shoots rather well actually.

The stock shroud and diffusor is a "dang" joke however. First up replace the diffusor with one of ample dimensions (read - with proper windows cut into it) and second up add a couple of o-rings each end for the shroud tube. It does NOT seal in stock shape n form.



Out rear... nothing there to seal.



To get more sane proportions on the stock i opted to cut approx 25mm/1" off of the bottom of it. Made for a rather profound difference shooting it, have to say. So happy with that call too.

Actually the solution was to pressurize the gun which pushes the port inward further allowing the pin to fit in. This was figured out at an airgun smith. Weird huh..

I was thinking about doing this. I guess as I mentioned pressurizing the gun has that same effect

Yep.
From a practical point of view about amounts to the same thing really.

Although itīs been a while since i handed my own M-16 bottle version any attention.. still got it and to be honest have lately given thought to if the time hasnīt come.
As far as iīm concerned very very underrated guns. Could use a longer barrel i guess but.. then again, the sure shoot well enough.

I let off last time out as the thing (itīs a 25cal) handed me 120J on the stock barrel.  No doubt though thereīs stuff iīd make different today.
So yeah.
I guess itīs time.
