Matching scopes to rifles

Hello Shooters,
I'm matching up scopes to rifles and looking for opinions.
Rifles:
Full power .22 Pro Sport
12 foot pound .177 TX200HC
Scopes:
Hawke Airmax Compact SF 3-12x40
Hawke Airmax Compact SF 4-16x44
Hawke Airmax SF 10x44
What should go with what?

I have several of the Airmax scopes and like all but wish the reticule was simpler. My preference is the 3x12. Never saw a straight 10x so cannot comment, except a lot of times I like a much lower power. The 4x16 is a bit larger than I care for. The ProSport is more of a sporter style gun, so I tend to like a smaller scope.

I'm currently shooting a ProSport .177 with a 10X32 Optisan on it. I really like the simplicity of the fixed power scope on a 12 FPE rifle and was quite happy with the performance of the 10X32 on the ProSport during last weekend's Field Target Nationals here in Coffee Country. My OWN performance... not so much. But that was neither the fault of the rifle OR the scope.
That being said, I've been looking for options for my other 12 FPE rifles and that Airmax 10X44 SF looks interesting. I think it'd match up quite nice with your TX200HC.
As for the other two... I'd probably pick the 3-12 for the full power ProSport, as I tend to shoot the lower range in an adjustable scope than the higher. When I was shooting with a 6-24 scope I found myself using the 10-12X more than the higher magnifications. But that's me and the way I shoot air rifles. What do you envision yourself using the rifles for?

I'm a peaceful man and prefer the pursuit of peaceful sports. Those involving teams and balls of any sort tend to be deleterious to one's body and promote violence by both spectators and participants. The shooting sports, however, tend to promote self control and are peaceably participated in by those who know that their greatest challenge is their need to continually hone their own abilities.

My range is 7-70+ yards. At full power the Pro Sport is my long ranger I suppose. It's also a chunker of a rifle, so I'm going with one of the larger scopes. I like the simplicity of the 10x, but the utility of the 4-16x. The 4-16x is actually a little lighter so I might start there.
The TX feels smaller and lighter, so I'll put the 3-12x and keep it light.

Hawke customer service is great! I would ask their opinion.

They're all close enough in dimensions, and I usually keep the zooms on 10x...nothing to see here folks...

Hawkw Airmax scopes are fine mid-level scopes.
Your guns deserve better optics. Think Sidewinder, Meopta, Falcon, etc...
