Well, found something about the 97K NOT to like...

Funny enough I have found multiple things of the HW97k not to like...

The weight..., the twang/buzz/shotcycle out of the box..., even the trigger... and then that ugly/dull wooden stock.

But all in all the 97k is one of the most accurate springers I have owned (2x) and shot.

Can it be better ? yes, TX200 in all aspects

Isn't it possible to de-cock a 97k? I can do it with my LGV: hold the barrel in open-breech position, release safety and pull the trigger- but make sure you hold the @#$%$ barrel when you are doing this! with a very firm grip! with the 97kt obviously you'd need to keep a grip on the cocking lever not the barrel.

Seems like a person would want to de-cock the gun if they felt like something went wrong. That way you don't have to dry fire it and risk damage to the piston seal particularly if you thought something fell into the compression chamber. Things happen. You need a way to safely mend the situation.

I have a 97kt but don't know it very well because after I got my LGV- I found a lot I liked more than the 97kt. I need to put that 97kt up for sale. Its just not getting used any more.

I glued a piece of sheet metal under the breechface on my sidecocker. So if I drop a pellet it can't slip down between the action and the stock. It has nowhere to go but to drop back out when I turn the gun over.

If I remember correctly, the aiti-beartrap must be removed from the 77/97's  before they can be uncocked.
