Help Needed

I'm looking for a cheap plinker and am deciding between the Gamo Rocket IGT and Beeman RS2 gas ram. I like the price of the Gamo but the Beeman is a good looking rifle. Any thoughts and experiences with  one or both is appreciated.

I prefer wood, springers and .177 but the Gamo will take a GRT trigger which will make a good gun a great gun.

Looks like you tinker, have higher fpe stuff and want to "stay there"?

Have you considered pneumatic, i.e. pumper or pcp? Just wondering...

Not really interested in PCP at the moment. I do have quite a few magnum springers but want something a little "tamer" to plink around the house. I decided on those 2 because of the price and looks and I didn't find much about them online. Any other recommendations for a cheap plinker under $150 would also be appreciated. Thanks for the replies.

Field Supply has the Umarex Syrix on sale right now. Cocking force is 34lbs. on that gun. Never had any problems with FS ordering their air guns, they have good customer service also.

I tend to steer clear of Gamo.  They support what they sell if you send it in.  If you want to do your own work getting parts can be a problem.  Many of the parts they sell can only be sourced through a firearms dealer with an FFL.

I was going to suggest Daisy 880, actually tame enough to shoot in the house if you have a mind to and can steer clear of rolling pins and frypans

My only negative is that Gamo wont sell replacement parts (gas ram) for their guns. Five year warranty, but who wants to box up & ship their gun back & then wait...
