Ask n ye shall receive!LOLAs noted. Valve seat material is REAL hard being a bearing bronze. We get yellow metals known as Johnson Metal around here and that there is JM-7. To hand an idea, over the yrs iīve also for instance used it for valve seats in engines. As in race engines.Yes.Iīm a material nerd. Guilty! Indeed. A simple SSG setup, and as it turns out.. it was indeed needed. Yep, cut into the lovely stock at the rear, sorry to say. No two ways about that tho as the rifle needed this. Difference is quite staggering actually. Now giving thought to a blast tamer too, but.. well, weīll get there i guess. As is, after having the thing apart for the oumptieth time, i must have disturbed the barrel/shroud/mod in some manner cause accuracy is direly lacking. So will need to dig into that asap. Baffle clipping i suppose.Today tho.. work on a customers Reximex Zone, in an effort to make it even more quiet.
@ rkrGiven it a tad of thought, would it be an idea to fabricate a separate thimble? Thus handing more freedom as far as dimensions, sealing, set chamber depth, replacing barrel at will way simpler and so on.Think FX Impact et al here.
