One tip the AV tech gave me was to assemble in a manner that doesn't make sense to me...The first part into the tube end is the spring, then the O-ring, then the ball !!WOW!!He said that the ball will wind up between the O-ring and the spring, ala the egg in the bottle trick. But if assembled spring, ball, then O-ring,the ball will get stuck......Dunno if that's on account of the substitute O-ring or what.I guess I'll assemble it as directed and hope for the best.

AV actually uses a B90102........a tad smaller.. just what I was told.
i gotta think it is the itty bitty O-ring of the ball check that is the problem.......I think I was led astray.......Can't believe the AV guy would do that, but........That 102 O-ring is too small.......the 103 would be a closer fit.I don't think the O-ring is sealing air from the threads of the fittings, and air is escaping around the threads.I'll put some teflon tape on the threads to see if it slows the leak down.Dunno..........(sigh..)
This rifle has beaten me.........NOT an easy thing to do.There is mych that I do not know or understand avout its design amd operation. After replacing the exhaust valve and resealing the balancer tube. the rifle will charge up and shoot. However, after leaving it charged for several hours, it will bleed downfrom 3000# to about 2100#, where it will stabilize.But.........Opening the pump arm is almost impossible, and, if you DO get it open, it is impossible to close.Even after releasing the reservoiur pressure with the bleed screw, and bleeding the balancer tube air, the arm is very difficult to close.Dunno......... I believe there is a check valve that prohibits air from backfeeding from the reservoir into thr pump.......That would be my next target........probably more O-rings being brittle.......I have contacted AV for some idea of a price to refurb.Or, I may sell for parts. So depressed...........
It's the check valve. That's what mine was doing when I took it apart 4 YEARS ago.😡
