Here is how our squirrel season opener turned out, I was armed with the Wing Shot and Nick his botled Chaser long barrel. I was using the WS as I can also hunt mourning dove and turkey with air shotguns now #9T hits hard.
 Anywho Nick got 3 chippers, and I shot at nothing, as when I would shoot things may run and hide LOL'

 Oh wait !!! Right after I took that pic, Nick got another LMBO

 This afternoon I sat in the dove blind for a bit then went for a run and gun adventure after some wild turkeys, got close after 1/2 mile stalk, met up with them as they crossed orchard rows, and they busted me before I could pull a bead on a good one. I got some exercise and snacked on a Honey Crisp on the hike back to my truck.

Ii's a little early for good squirrel hunting but they are out there to be had.

I normally body shoot squirrels so this picture was a lot more graphic than my usual ones LOL! When I walked up to it blood was bubbling out of the entrance hole😬👀

I had three squirrels in my freezer until the lady next door told me all of the animals in the area are contaminated with PFAS, I had to throw them all away.

I'm getting packed up to move into a new place and the guy buying our house was loading a bunch of stuff into a bedroom today,  so the front door was open most of the afternoon. 

Needless to say it's fly season, with a warmer than normal October, up here in the great white north. I've spent close to an hour this evening chasing flies around the house with the bug-o-salt. I've murdered close to a 100 flies so far. Best pesting I've ever done!

Yesterday I was shooting off the porch and a couple field lions came out of the weeds.  I ran in and got the 3622 and when I came back out only one was there. I've been trying to clean them out since spring so wasn't letting the opportunity get by. First one took a CPHP to the back of the melon,  mother and sibling came out to investigate.  The mother took one head on, jumped and ran. #2 turned to look in the weeds and exposed the back of its head. I made it quick.
2 confirmed,  1 probable,  at 51 paces with 3622
 I'd say it has what it takes.

Sadly I was too busy disposing of the corpses before the wife got home to shame me about not eating what I shoot!

Also what is a field lion? Feral cats?
