I understand it is what it is. I WAS TRYING TO FIRGER OUT A TEST MODE FOR THE BREACH SEAL if that could be the issue. I agree on the factory install of the piston seal.

Tear off a smal strip of wax paper and put it between the receiver and the barrel. SHOOT THE GUN LOADED. If all is correct it should leave a clean hole. On one of mine it blew the hole top out. The wax paper should just on lock up without firing give you and indication of the sealing area without firing.

Did the wax paper test. Nice clean hole. My new scope will be here friday. Will do more testing just in case I had movement in the old one. Thanks to everybody for the help. Craig

You need to buy you a chrony or bum one and see what it is shooting FPS. That will help you ALSO with solving breach seals and piston seal issues as well. You got to pay to play I was always told. GOOD LUCK.

Got the new scope on and did some retesting today. Did get a little tighter grouping a 10yds. Still no one hole group. Best was all pellets inside a 5/16 circle. At 30yds 1" circle. Will post findings after I take it to Pomona Air on Tue. Craig

Well I took the ProSport to Pomona AG and had Steve chrony it for me. With JSB exact jumbo it is only shooting 544/550 fps. He said that is way to low and Craig at SS agreed with him. Will be sending it back to Air Venturi for warranty work on it. Will post finding's. Craig

Not to be disrespectful, but not everyone can shoot a springer really well.
I can shoot a low recoil low power rifle decently, but my groups go to heck as the power level goes up. I even have trouble with some of the recoiling low power rifles like the IZH-60. I don't do a good artillery hold.
If you are shooting off a bench, bench shooting is as much an art as a science. Proper support under the forestock, how much force you put against the butt pad, how you hold the rifle with your trigger hand, etc.

Agree!! Thought the lead sled was the ticket for shooting. Yes it might be for one type gun. NOT on the springers. I have found that out of my pack, no 2 guns shoot the same on the rest. I call it a SWEET SPOT for. There again if I shoot off of the tall tri pod, it is different than the bench rest. SO!! IMO, THESE GUNS ARE MUCH MORE SENSITIVE THAN PB GUNS DUE TO THE TIME OF THE TRIGGER PULL VS THE TIME DWELL OF THE PELLET IN THE BARREL. Not to mention the double recoil. Forward and then back. MUCH movement in both directions. Low recoil vs high recoil is for sure a factor. Some guns IMO, require one hand on the rear with a good front rest and shoot great. Some guns require both hands and even more.

AC12 and Whitefang no disrespect taken. Advice and suggestions is what this forum is all about. I also shoot a RX2 which I call my Cannon. Now that is a hand full to shoot.

I for sure don't know it all. I am still in the learning curve as well and I learn something new ever day on these guns. The crosman rifles will give you a run for the money but IMO THERE ARE GOOD ONES out there! THERE have been goods made by what we do to them. GREAT HOBBY!!!

I got the PS back Thursday from Air Venturi . Friday around 1:30 PM,I was able to do some shooting with the Prosport.They chrony it w/FTS and avg. 650fps. They said they did a complete tear down and checked it out. Cleaned and lubed with new breech seal. Chronyed 700-710 w/FTS. It took 50 pellets thru it till it stopped smoking. Ran patchs till clean. Shot 25 more then started to chrony it (new F1). A 10 shot string I got 600-619 with FTS. Chrony it on 2 more chronys at PAG and got the same readings.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?

What was the weight of the pellet they chrony the gun with? 100 fps less will make allot of difference.
