Does Someone have a picture of the hand cranked Springer at the 2023 Shot Show?

LOL... I started my airgun addiction with with MSP and I KNOW I would rather put 5 pumps in a smooth shooting pumper than wind up a jumper. But that's just me.. if you prefer a crank and the recoil of a springer then have at it.

Crossman rates the 392S with 6 pumps at "up to 650 FPS with alloy pellets). Assuming H and N field trophy green at 9.57 grains that works out to only 8.98 FPE.....this for 6 pumps. But you are not using 6 pumps.....you are only using 5 pumps. I'd imagine your power is only 7 to 8 FPE because of this.....about the same power as a HW30 starter gun meant for small children to learning shooting.

And yes I do question your ability to pump up the gun. In fact, here is the evidence below:

I plan to do some wadcutter pellet testing at different speeds and distances with the 392s. That thing is a bear to pump past 5 or 6.

I like pump guns (FX independence, Seneca Aspen, etc ) probably more than anyone here, but a 392s or any pump gun with a single stage pump is in no way a good comparison to what is described in the linked video as a powerful springer.

Especially when  he brings up 5 pumps which represents a pitiful level of performance likely no where near what the springer has.

Like I mentioned earlier a better comparison for 5 pumps from a 392S is something like a Weihrauch HW30 (or any child level starting springer gun like that.)

I'm not too wild re the idea of cranking springers or pumping pumpers.   The object is to quickly release stored energy to make a projectile move.  My crazy new idea is a little bit different.  How about quickly burning some kind of chemical stuff in a little space behind the pellet so the hot gas makes it move.  Anyone ever think of that?
