Wildcat MK3 going back to FX

Silly WILDCAT!! It’s going to FX again under warranty. No matter what I try it’s inconsistent. I tried high reg, low reg, power wheel from 1-7 and also messed with the little 1.5 mm Allen. Nope!! Inconsistent all throughout. Good thing it’s under warranty. I can tune my other regulated guns in ten minutes. Fx says it sounds like reg creep.
Let’s see. I must have shot 500

How bad are the extremes?  Is it just a certain number of shots and the reg eventually settles down?  That stinks. Is it the BT model or the tube model ?

Yeah so it’s like 37 foot spread. I know it can do better because my two other FX rifles are very consistent, also in there once in a while I get an oddball 850 from 905. The sound is different as well. FX said that sounds like reg creep. It’s the tube version compact mk3 in .25. I’ve had couple thousand shots through it so I can’t say it’s the reg breaking in. FX will take care of it. It’s been there 3 times already

My Altaros regulated Bandit does a five FPS spread, my Altaros regulated Stormrider does about the same, maybe less. Neither reg is vented to atmosphere and I don't think either has ever had creep issues. I too would expect more out of an FX gun.

Is this what you picked for a 100m gun?

Yes agreed. My other fx guns are fine actually all my regulated guns are fine this one has been a problem child since the beginning. I’ll just keep sending it in under warranty until it’s resolved. They pay for shipping both ways. I’m not even that picky with regulators as long as they are less than 30 es but I expect them to stay there  and not move.

I'm still going to buy an FX down the road, that is cast in iron but I think this shows clearly that ALL gun manufacturers and all guns may have issues, there is simply no such thing as a guaranteed perfect line.

, they’re amazing. Their customer service is amazing. All guns and manufacturers have issues sometimes,  it’s like anything else. What’s important is I can talk with someone when something happens. Yeah don’t let a couple of negative issues Some people have had to stop you from getting one. I still want an impact :-)
