Eddie I always use the pressure pour method though as many know.  I think the WC would probably be hard to do with a bottom pour.

We'll find out how hard in a week or so when I get my mould.

I am thinking about getting this 22 mold for a couple of
higher powered AG, I have.

Per the description =  217-30-FN-BJ5 4 Cavity RG4 cavity BT,
it does not state that this mold is a HP (which is what I want),
but the diagram of this bullet shows it to be a HP design?

Do I go by the description or the diagram, as I want a HP.

I believe there are 2 versions of the bbt 30 grain slug. I ended up with the flat point by mistake when I wanted the hp slug but that's on me not looking close enough. Now it just sits on my airgun bench waiting for me to buy another.22 that has a bigger bore than the.215 my liberty has. I've just been shooting the 25 grain hp now slug or the 24 grain hunter mag. Maybe I'll end up with 1 of hammers 3 groove barrels and install it on the liberty.

The HP pins are in the mold down on my casting table these are the CP and FP pins that come in the kit.

That's not the HP Mold, they're already sold out by the looks of it, that was fast.

Its not HP only but it dose have a HP pin along with the other 2 the RG molds come with.

I cast up a boatload of wad cutters this morning, these will last me probably the rest of the winter and more probably.



These are really great out of my vintage pistols and very deadly on red squirrels with my Crosman 362
Here's a 5 shot group with my Crosman 150 I did with them at 15 feet, that's a 3 cent piece covering all.

The original versions of the 217-30-FN-BJ5-BT only had 1 Lyman style HP pin, regardless of the number of cavities.... All new production are RG2 pr RG4 moulds., which come with 3 set of pins.... Now that the original Lyman style single HP pin moulds are gone, they will not be replaced.... There are still a few FN moulds available from the first run, and again, they will not be replaced, as the RG moulds do HP, CP and FN....

Eddie I need to cast up some more of those because they're much better than the wad cutters if I'm shooting them out in the woods, even with my c02 pistols for distance.  I used almost all of mine up in the attic last year shooting them out of my Crosman 362, the Crosman really likes them a lot.  The BBT's won't work out of that gun, they're way too tight a fit which leads me to believe that those guns barrels aren't made in house like all the previous barrels were on like the disco, prod etc.

My 2019 vintage Prod shoots them as well as any factory pellet I've ever tried in it. That's a tall order too because it's one of the most accurate guns I own.

Eddie my Prod shoots them great.  Like I said the in house barrels seem to be fine for the Crosman, I think that the 362 is a China made barrel myself.  I've never tried calling Crosman to ask but they might not give out that info   Crosman hasn't done one of their factory tour video's in years.
