I know there is a good selection of 6-24 X 50 scopes that are a good price, and with an exit pupil of over 2mm on 24X should be bright enough.... What I am looking for, to mount on my new .183 cal PCP, which I hope to shoot at 200-300 yards, is something with more magnification that won't break the bank.... Is there anything you have tried with a magnification of 30X to 40X, with an objective of 50mm to 60mm, where the brightness and clarity will work at those ranges.... without costing an arm and a leg?....

SWFA (SWFA Outdoors) currently has a sale on optics. Didn't check their entire website, but most of their SWFA fixed power optics are $219 (best deal out currently, IMO), but only go to 20 power. There were a few from Athlon (~$1000) and Konus (~$517) that zoom to 30+ power, but I have no experience with them. Sorry if this doesn't help.

Im looking also similar. 0.05 mil clic. And good paralax adjust ranges 100-200. Mil three reticle with 0.2 mil hash.
But those spects talking +3k range.
Maybe cheaper buy like panasonic hc-v180 for spotting. Or similar with 50x optical zoom.
Current 30x vps34 is really nice but sometimes hard adjust paralax right and hard see hits anymore 200yd range.

I am not happy with 1/10th MIL adjustments (that is 1 cm or 3/8" per click at 100).... so unless a MIL scope has 1/20th MIL clicks, I would stick with an MOA scope with 1/4".... even better if it is 1/8" per click, as that is less than 1/20th MIL....

I have a Mueller 5-30 x 56 on my .257 Monocoque PCP, and it is a very nice scope.... I think 40X is pushing it on a 56mm objective, if that was a fixed 30X, and available in Canada, I would be all over it.... Thanks for the link, tho....

Hands down the Tac Vector Optics Sentinel 10-40x50. I have 7 or more of them. Great scope, not a ton of vertical adjustment. But that's not uncommon for 30mm high mag scopes with 1/8moa clicks.
They are on sale at Optics planet for $189 I think.
I also have a pretty good (new) AEON 10-40X56 I'd sell for a good price.

Decided on the Vector Sentinel 8-32 x 50.... It got good reviews.... A little less magnification than the 10-40, but a bit brighter at the top end.... Found it at Amazon.ca for $222 CDN plus $20 shipping.... the equivalent of $174 USD, shipped, and no hassle getting it out of the USA.... Anyways, dropped a large hint with my wife for Christmas....
