I have a mil dot scope so rotating it 90 degrees was fine. I had no trouble re-sighting in my scope. Got my red dot sighted at 40 feet to handle the closer areas. I need to do some shooting now to see what I think of this setup. Glad the scope rotating worked out for this setup.
I purchased a scope ring that has the picatinny rail on it also. I am going to mount the red dot on top of the scope to see which setup I prefer. I could place the ring in front of the top scope turret but I still have the scope bell that might be visible through the red dot.. I do have both a high and low mount with my Romeo5 red dot. I will have to see but would rather use the low mount.
The gun I am doing this on is my Stroeger Bullshark bullpup 22 cal. It's a rat, starling and squirrel killing machine. Also a fun target gun.

After having to rotate my scope to get my 45 degree mount to work on the right side of my gun with my red dot I decided I really didn't care for that. I now have my dot on top of my scope and really like this setup. I was even able to use the low mount that came with my Romeo5.
