This thread is right below your new pcp gun that you have coming 🤣🤣🤣
Mike that was one of my biggest peeves about a DAR gen 2 I bought quite a while back, is the fact that the regulator in it was set way too high for pellets that I wanted to shoot from it, it took me over a year to replace parts that were basically defective in my opinion which #1 was the degassing screw is made from really soft parts and once I degassed it that was it, never held air until I finally got the parts. I've got it set good now but still haven't even been in the field with it yet and wondering if it's even worth the effort after that, still haven't even mounted a scope on it yet. I'll NEVER buy another DAR.
Modding is just another part of this hobby. I enjoy tinkering as much as I do shooting.I find satisfaction in showing folks that carbine pcp I made out of a c02 pistol or that chopper carbine I made out of that full size pawnshop springer and that stubby pistol I put together out of all the leftover stuff. However, I don't want to do it because I have to. I want to do it because I want to.I have only ever returned guns once and that was a pair of the latest junk azz Crosman 760 to Walmart. Those guns should have been displayed on that "As seen on TV" section of Walmart where they put all that other junk that nobody wants.

I’m certain it’s satisfying customizing guns to your liking and having something unique that shoots well. I have a very hectic life with my autistic 6 year old making it tough to modify or work on anything so I lean towards simple guns I can repair after kids are asleep on my kitchen counter after kids are sleeping. Airguns are therapy for sure for parents

Airguns are therapy for sure for parents Hey Mike, we're in the same club! My 8 year old son is non verbal autistic. He has got to the point he likes watching and hearing the tools I use running, especially a drill. 2-3 years ago he would run away in fear for his life covering his ears if you so much as picked up a drill!. Now he stands there and watches me tinker and sometimes gets excited and flaps his hands. He really loves watching me workout lol... the weights go up and down up and down lol.
Hi Todd thanks for sharing. Lol the drill part I can relate to. I can’t have any guns out with him he’s very curious. Sometimes wallets and keys go missing because he decided to play with it and drop it somewhere else so now we have to lock things up. We as parents learn how to work around our Autistic little ones to have a somewhat normal life and keep them safe of course.
At this point I have an airgun for pretty much any sized game and can accurately shoot out to at least 50 yards with all of them. I'm sure the Eagle Claw and Challenger .45 can do fairly well out to 75 yards and beyond, but I wouldn't know. My .177 and .22 guns are great for plinking and 25-50 yard shooting, so I have those bases covered. There are only two guns that really pull at my strings, and they are the PBBA Pro 20 and Texan .257/.308. The Pro 20 can do 20 ga shot loads and they also make .457 and .308 rifled liners that drop right in from the breech, so it should be good for long range target shooting, 100+ yards. Everyone knows about the Texan, and in .257 or .308 it would be for target shooting at long ranges. My wife is starting to become more interested in shooting with me now that we have a 100ci bottle, but she is more interested in really long range shooting. I mentioned people hitting 200+ yard targets accurately with .257 and .308 airguns and she seemed very interested. Either way, those are at least $1,500 investments and will be waiting until at least some of our home renovations are completed. I would also like to get some 66-90 CuFt tanks before getting another rifle.

My son collects things if there are multiples of them. He lines stuff up everywhere. Everyday he has a rigid routine of putting things in certain places all over the house. I thought I kept losing my magazines for my hatsan, turns out he was just attracted to the red wheel inside them! I bought like 3 new ones, but ended up finding the others hidden on a shelf in the basement! We just have to navigate through their world.
Back on topic though, I know I said no more pcps as well... yeahI picked this up on an ebay auction for $280 with 10 stage Baffle, depinger, and the scope.22 cal and it's supposed to be a great shooter so hopefully all the bugs are worked out.

Instead of buying a new gun recently, I just ordered barrels, breech/receiver, magazines, and LDC to convert my Bandit or Stormrider to .25 cal.
