What Do You Consider Acceptable Accuracy From A Big Bore?

 My slugs are dropping at .457 and .458. A little skinny. So I have a .459 and a .460 sizing dies coming. I did a few single and double powder coatings to my 292 (300) grain and 340 (350) grain slugs. Going to see what I can do at some longer ranges.

I got a set of 6 .45 arrow kit parts to make up some arrows from pellethuntr. They turned out nice. But it’s not legal to use them in Mi. Yet?

Indeed, I should have mentioned that's where my airbolts are coming from! I'm realizing none of my bolts will work and testing will be loud, so I'll be setting up something on the north side of my property on the far side of a ridge this summer. My current improvised range is not far from the house so I have to use stuff that's on the quieter side of a pneumatic nailer.

Ability to hit a 4moa target on the first shot. And group 1moa under ideal conditions.

Here is a list I made of some of the slugs I have tested in the .45. These are the highest psi, fpe and fill pressure for each slug. These were all before a complete tear-down and clean up of all moving parts. I gained a little speed and did it at a little less pressure.

I like all my poi’s at least touching. He’s a 50yrd group from my Dragon Claw with 240gr Mr. Hp slugs. I don’t hunt deer or hogs past 50yrds so this group is plenty good enough. I’m hoping to get the Dragon Claw out this year. I only bow hunt but I’m trying to talk myself into taking the DC this year.

This is a nice group.  I'm with you, been strictly a bow hunter but wouldn't mind taking a deer or hog with the air rifles.

Very, very nice 50 yards group,....I would be very confident taking that .50 hunting.

Seriously, 1 1/2 MOA at any range is "Acceptable", but my feeder is exactly 115 yards and I expect sub-moa accuracy at that range.
